NYCB sold the mortgage on these building to Townhouse Management in April 2011

UHAB and other housing advocates have come to believe that in order to rehabilitate this housing stock, lenders must sell distressed notes in foreclosure at a discounted price that reflects real rents and current repair needs to responsible, experienced housing developers with the skills to acquire and destabilize distressed housing.

NYCB IS THE WORST!
Disgusting! They should be ashamed.

Just cuz the bank holds the mortgage why the hell is it the banks responsibility to do the repairs?? I simply don’t get it. If the landlords don’t take care of their property and provide service call 311 and stop paying rent so they’ll have to take you to landlord tenant court and you’ll make your case. (but don’t spend the rent money just in case the judge orders you to pay up)
