Yorkville 2BR With Washer / Dryer Request $ 1995 Monthly | Easy Street

128 points

Yorkville is always a good place to find good value. This Upper East Side enclave is reliably more accessible than its neighboring UES supermarkets, such as Carnegie Hill and Lenox Hill. Our Rental of the Week is a perfect example. This Yorkville 2BR offers two queen bedrooms, a brand new kitchen with a dishwasher and even an in-first sink, all for less than $ 2,000. And it is also very beautiful!

Address: 345 E. 92nd St. # 5A

Price: $ 1,995

Size: 2-bedroom

Neighborhood: Yorkville

Best feature: You get so much for your money here. This Yorkville 2BR has a lot of added value, starting with the insert washer / dryer. This hot item is located in the newly renovated kitchen, which also includes a full-size refrigerator and a drawer dishwasher hidden behind customary furniture. Crown molding and exposed brick details give character, while a wireless sound system is a super-modern touch.

In addition the bedrooms are opposite sides of the apartment for privacy. (And if you do choose to share with a roommate, think about the rental savings – less than $ 1K each!) The bathroom is small but beautifully remodeled, with a glass-walled corner inaugural shower.

Our Rental of the Week is also nicely located, very close to the Q train at Second Avenue and lots of shopping and restaurants. In addition it is just a few blocks of two fancy neighborhood features: 92nd Street Y and the Green Asphalt sports and recreational facilities.

Why it is a deal: The average asking rent at the Upper East Side is $ 2,400, according to the StreetEasy Data Dashboard. And for UES 2BR specifically, it’s a steep $ 3,063. That puts our Rent of the Week at about $ 400 a month below average for the area, and over $ 1,000 a month below average for two bedrooms. We would certainly call that an agreement.

Greater disadvantage: The listing for this Yorkville 2BR does not give square footage, nor a plan. So it’s hard to say exactly how big it is – but it’s certainly not huge. And from the photos it looks like the only windows are in the bedrooms, which means no natural light in the common living / kitchen area. It’s also a walk. However this is a very nice space with many advantages. And at this price, you can consider keeping the whole thing to yourself and using the second bedroom as a pretty enviable home office.
